The sound of the marimba is my own voice
Music, HR, learning, parenting…
I seamlessly integrate all these aspects into my career as a musician.
To me, the sound of the marimba is my voice, and I cherish the ability to make it sing, not just be struck as a percussion instrument.
I believe that marimba and music should be accessible to everyone, supporting the 100-year life era by becoming part of everyday life, rather than something exclusive to the elite.

Born in Kanagawa
When she went to see the percussion club in the first year of kindergarten, she was so shocked by the loud noise that she burst out in tears, "Waaah!" Perhaps it was such a shock to her that she joined the club. She moved to Yokohama City during the school year, but continued to play piano at the percussion club at the affiliated kindergarten and at a nearby school, which helped her get used to her new life.
There was no environment in the elementary school in the school district where they could continue playing percussion instruments, so she joined a general group in Yokohama City, mainly consisting of elementary school students to high school students. She was in charge of the front pit and battery, and learned the joy of working together to improve the perfection of the show over the course of a year. The spirit of " One for All, All for One " was cultivated.
2005-2008
THE YOKOHAMA SCOUTS Drum and Bugle Corps
2009-2012

Decided to specialize in Marimba
2012-2014
Tokyo University of the Arts,
Faculty of Music, Percussion Major
She joined THE YOKOHAMA SCOUTS, a group made up of mostly middle school students and working adults, and was in charge of the front pit. She practiced outdoors even in the middle of summer and on snowy days. In her second year of middle school, she traveled to the United States to participate in DCI (an international competition). Through performances at the Rose Bowl Stadium and Disneyland in California, she experienced that music has no language barriers .
When her younger sister was to enter a modern ballet competition with a marimba piece , she discovered the marimba's presence in classical music . She was struck by the beauty of its warm sound, which was different from that of outdoor performances.
In high school, she was a member of the brass band. While worrying about her future career, she participated in the Pearl Percussion Camp during the summer vacation of her first year, and decided to study marimba at university, saying, " Once I discovered this fun world, I can't go back! " She studied under Prof. Toshiaki Ishiuchi, Prof. Atsushi Sugahara, and Chieko Sugiyama, learning the basics of percussion in classical music.
Studied under Prof. Takafumi Fujimoto. Although she was blessed with classmates who were full of individuality and reliability, she was overwhelmed by the environment where everyone was aiming to become a professional player and lost sight of her purpose in playing the marimba . In her second year at university, she was inspired by the participants from all over the world at the Marimba Academy in Luxembourg, and decided to go to Germany, saying, "I want to become someone who can proudly say that I love the marimba again ." She took a leave of absence from university.
2014-2016
Entered the first year of Hochschule für Musik Detmold in Germany
2016-2018
Returned to Tokyo University of the Arts
2018-
University graduation, giving birth during the COVID-19 pandemic
A small town that even Germans don't know about. In an environment where music is deeply rooted in daily life as a culture, she studied percussion classes with students from over 10 countries. Under Prof. Peter Prommel and Fumito Nunoya, she focused on " singing with the marimba " and got a sense of distance from the marimba. After 4 semester, she returned to Japan, hoping to establish a base of life in Japan.
A turning point for her was when she happened to take a class on music outreach . She felt great joy in sharing the experience of making ordinary places special through not only music but also words while performing at kindergartens, elementary schools, welfare facilities, etc., and decided to make it her life's work.
While working as a human resources specialist at a long-established trading company in Yokohama after graduating, she also performs Marimba. She is currently pursuing a parallel career that utilizes her experiences in both directions, such as holding seminars for job-hunting students to convey the basic social skills she has cultivated through music , and performing in concerts that utilize her experience as a child-rearing and company employee .
